GRX - Who are they for? POWER GOLD. Inpres GRX |
|
The human mind is a strange thing.
Even at my age, I'd rather have them say,
"He can really hit it,"
than be praised as 'good.'
That's what makes golf interesting.
Even with a head speed of about
38m/s, I'm confident I can hit the ball.
I'd like to come across a golf club
that can add another 10 yards to my shot. |
|
It's not just sour grapes.
Lately courses have been getting longer.
Courses have gotten so long…
It's like they're toying with me personally.
But it is fine because
When I make short work of a course like that,
that's a feeling of accomplishment.
What can I rely on in such a situation?
A fairway wood.
Is there a fairway wood that's easy to hit and
that can give me that distance?
Wanting a fairway wood that can hit the ball like
a driver...
Is that being greedy?
I have a lifelong rival.
He says that slightly heavier irons are better even when you're older and lose some strength.
But,I've found that's not true.
The ball flies higher with a light iron.
With height you get distance.
It makes me look good.
Sometime, I want to send a ball 150 yards with an eight and knock my rival off his feet.

GRX - ST-Long |
|
Truly unprecedented flight. The 47-inch GRX ST-Long. |
|
Further evolved wide rebound structure - the 3X-Multiface.
To pursue the ultimate flight distance, we have gone from X to 3X. The face structure has been more finely subdivided and the overall thickness of the face reduced to expand the rebound area by another 4%. At the same time, the weight has been reduced by 3.5g to achieve the ideal low center of gravity. This innovative technology extends the flight distance. |
|
|
|
Optimum spin control with optimum center-of-gravity design.
The inner weight has been increased 11g by lightening the face.
The position of the center of gravity has been deepened and lowered to attain an optimum amount of spin for improved carry and run.

New shaft greatly accelerates head spin.
Increases the amount of whipping motion imparted to the swing by your hands so as to generate power. Amplification of the energy in the central portion accelerates the ball with a large whip at the tip. The new Multiple EI shaft increases the head speed to extend the flight distance. Experience this evolution in performance for your self. |
|
|
Multiple EI shaft - the result of advanced analysis technology.
A single shaft is analyzed in 3 domains for optimal design of whip and stiffness that can generate high head speed. This is the new Multiple EI shaft. Long shaft power has been further magnified. |

GRX Power Spoon/FW |

The GRX Fairway Wood
It makes up for age and diminishing power.
A New Weapon |
|
What do you want?
Height? Distance? Direction?
Or, all of them?
YAMAHA’s proprietary fairway wood flow design - backed by YAMAHA’s established reputation.
These fairway woods are heirs to flow design that delivers impact. They fly in the face of conventional wisdom on fairway woods. The reverse center of gravity distance flow design makes the #3 grip the ball easier and prevents the #9 from over-gripping the ball. Based on our club length flow design, we made the #3 long for distance and the #9 short for aiming. With our center of gravity depth flow design, the #3 provides lift, and the #9 prevents pop ups. That's why these clubs play well in the hand. You can have confidence in your aim. There`s no doubt that these weapons will lower your score.
Head volume 201cm3-the largest available. A special 43.75-inch driver shaft intended to maximize the head speed. With the super-low-center-of-gravity construction, you get loft on the ball effortlessly. The Power Spoon was developed to deliver the equivalent distances as a driver. This is a spoon that surpasses all normal conceptions of a spoon.
Specially designed fairway wood shaft raises head speed.
Multiple EI shaft. The result of continued research on double speed shafts with two whip zones.
The new GRX FW series has a specially designed new shaft with performance matched to the features of a fairway wood.
The shaft performs at three points - the butt, middle, and tip, converting energy to speed, and delivering maximum distance. |

GRX IRON |
|
Ultra performance masked in beauty.
#8
150 yards with a H/S of 38m/s.
It’s a fact.
Height, distance. Advanced design gives birth to astounding distances.
You can hit the ball with a club that’s three numbers off.
GRX gets such rave reviews.
What this new iron was aiming for? To combine height with distance.
The head is full titanium – light and extremely stiff.
The face consists of 15-3-3-3 AS ROLL β titanium with good spring.
A tungsten weight is embedded in a body made of exquisite materials (#4 to PW). |
|
|
|
|
With a center of gravity that’s 0.5 mm lower and 0.5 mm deeper, we’ve achieved a level of iron performance that will give you high trajectories so you can aim for the green from far up the fairway.
These irons feature the new Multiple EI shaft.
The way they perform will changer your course strategy. |

The height of luxury – a driver that delivers long distances.

3X-Multiface
Advanced, cutting-edge construction with a wide rebound area.
Inpres gives you distance. Distance that exceeds the imagination.
The X-Multiface is one of the technologies responsible for GRX getting even better reviews.
Now, the 3X-Multiface is even more advanced. It delivers even longer distances.
It’s a revolutionary new technology that will help you get that coveted extra 10 yards-or more-to your shot.
The face of the X-Multiface was divided into four sections. But the 3X-Multiface is more finely divided still. The face is even thinner overall.
This has further increased the rebound area, making it 4% larger. YAMAHA has achieved that ideal low center of gravity by making the club even lighter in weight by 3.5g).
Multiple EI Shaft
Not just for golfers with fast head speed.
Added SR flex accommodates the swings of all types of golfers.
New shaft increases head speed.
Multiple EI shaft. The result of continuted reseach on double speed shafts with two whip zones. |

In pursuit of greater flight distances.
The optimum low-center-of-gravity design provides optimum spin control.
if you have a head speed of 38m/s, what do you need to get optimum flight distance? The most effective thing is optimum spin control. To that end, crown height was reduced in the new GRX to give the head a shallow profile. On top of that, making the face lighter allowed us to increase the inner weight to 10.5 g. By designing the club with an even deeper and lower center of gravity, we’ve achieved optimum spin control that will give good carry and run. |
