FRICOFF SOLE |
Calculations for head sink at the time of impact were used in design of the "FRICOFF Sole," which provides a stable, smooth sweep.
One of the causes of poor sweep on the fairway is the so-called "impact sink phenomenon" where the head sinks on impact. We calculated this and added a bounce to the leading edge to prevent the head snagging on the ground and rounded the sole surface to reduce the surface area contacting the ground to create the FRICOFF Sole. This sole makes stable head control possible in any lie.
This sole design controls the amount of head sing from the impact sink phenomenon. FRICOFF refers to the drastic reduction in friction from this sole.

The Hit Down Phenomenon |
The sinking motion of the head during impact due to the downward toe of the shaft during the swing is called the "hit down phenomenon." This phenomenon causes poor sweep over the ground and leads to a loss of distance or bad flight direction. |
Three types of flow design maximize the potential of each club. |
Reverse COG Distance Flow Design
This revolutionary flow design eliminates the difficulty longer clubs with standing lofts have gripping the ball and prevents the ball from hooking to the left by making the COG distance into a short flow for spoons to short woods. |
COG Depth Flow Design
The deeper the COG the easier the ball is to launch. The longer the club the deeper the COG is set and it maintains the ease of sending the ball flying. In order to prioritize control we set the COG depth of the short wood to a shallower depth. |
Club Length Flow Design
Spoons prioritize distance, and short woods focus on accuracy, so handing is at the forefront of design. In order to improve the accuracy of short woods, we reduced the length of each club from 0.5 to 0.75 inches. |

inpres X FW & Utility - D POWER SPOON |
The Power Spoon makes your usual long hole feel short. The ultra-low COG of the completely titanium large head brings a new evolution in flight through one big drive after another.
The Power Spoon can attack the green with big carry from the fairway and it gives overwhelming flight and height. A 72 g tungsten weight placed in the sole gives this spoon a COG height of 18.5 mm.
In addition, the Power Spoon's special 208 cm3 titanium head and orbit shaft give big flight distance with optimal spin. |

inpres X FW & Utility - D FW |
The semi-large head is meant to make it easier to hit balls high and far. The stability during the address and the flow design aimed at gentler hitting enables consistent and stable shots.
A shallow head gives a smooth sweep, which makes it easy to hit the high trajectories you envision. The COG design adjusts the grip for each club number and the leading edge and sole use YAMAHA's unique FRICOFF Sole. This always gives a stable sweep. The shaft was developed specifically for fairway woods. This club focuses on a simple swing provided by a stable, mid-flex shaft. |

inpres X FW & Utility - D UT |
Target the green with a high trajectory and strong hits. This utility exhibits stable performance even with a down blow thanks to the excellent sweep of the FRICOFF Sole.
The inpres X utility aims at the problems of golfers who want higher trajectories than a fairway wood ,but have trouble hitting high trajectories with long irons. Attack the green with high trajectories by using any of the many possible club combinations. Utility clubs can be used with short woods, or in place of long irons. The stable distance and smooth sweep are evident from the rough as well as the fairway. |
